Brief Description of Personality: I would describe myself as an easy-going and friendly person who may seem quiet initially but opens up and gets along with everyone.
Current Occupation: I am a research assistant at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research with a BSc in Biomedical Engineering. I work on research involving arboviral disease surveillance in West Africa as part of the MoziBiome lab in Noguchi. I also have an interest in nanotechnology and biomaterial strategies for generating therapeutic immune responses.
Advice to Young Students Interested in STEM: Medicine is not the only occupation in science. There are lots of interesting stuff to discover in the world. Be curious, branch out, explore, and discover more. Do not be afraid to push the boundaries of science.
Fun Fact/Hobbies: I enjoy music; playing it, and listening to it. I also design flyers.
